The last Potter! I struggled through this book until I got toward the end. I enjoyed the twist that it brought and, you know, all the "good guy wins in the end and gets the girl" stuff. So far, I'm enjoying the movies more than the books (a rarity in my world). And, Merlin's beard, I'll be happy to get my creativity back because reading these books totally killed it. I'm moving past this series and into a new one...

What can I say? I was babysitting my sister's kids and it was a nice day and they took off somewhere in the neighborhood with friends and I needed a book to read. Now, though I believe "reading is reading" and I think it fair to tick off 52 books in a year even if they are all written by Seuss or titled "Fancy Nancy," I won't blow through the entire Wimpy Kid series like I did with Potter. However, I might read them when I'm lookin' for something to do with the kids. I applaud the humor and look forward to watching the first movie and laughing about the other books with my 9-year old nephew.
